So how are you faring in your chosen lives and situations ?!
To think that we actually sat down and chose the life we are leading now !
Along with the financial difficulties and vanishing jobs and difficult spouses/partners !
Unbelievable, isn't it ?!
But only we could do it to us !
There simply isn't anyone else !
And the reason was not a temporary loss of sanity!
We die, and after a period of rest take an overview of the life we have just finished.
What we had wanted to do, the things done correctly and the mistakes made.
Having left our body, we are a spirit and have the memory of every previous lifetime too, of all thats happened, the lessons learnt/unlearnt and those yet to learn.
We now think deeply, confer with our spiritual guides and come to a conclusion that in the next life, I shall learn to be say - thrifty.
Because I see that in the last few lifetimes, I have been a spendthrift.
A taker.
Self-centred, indifferent to the difficulties my parents , friends or lovers faced in providing for my desires.
So this is the main lesson I choose to imbibe.
I also see that if I decide to learn one lesson per lifetime, mess it up, fare a bit better in next life, mess again horribly and so on, I will stay in this quick-sand for eons.
So I choose a couple more subsidiary subjects.
Like being more patient.
Like being more patient.
Loving.
Caring.
Having made such choice for ourselves, we now need a set-up which would be conducive to learning these lessons.
Everyone is learning at the same time, so we go and seek a soul from our group of 150-200 with whom we first began this roller-coaster ride and who now wants to be strong-willed as a first choice and ask if it would be our mother.
These are souls we have been with in many earlier lifetimes in different contexts, so we know each other very well!
Then, the parents take birth, marry and have us and we start our journey.
In the meantime, our children have made their pact with us too!
Sometimes, we dont want any, and there are lessons in that too, or a lifetime chosen for other work.
Coming back to the financially tough times, we may have got carried away and lost control over our sense and sensibility.
Or chosen a lesson of facing up to tough times.
Of gaining self-confidence.
Of gaining self-confidence.
Learning to live on less and find out that happiness does not depend on the size of the wallet.
Whatever happens to us in our life, happens because we chose it as a challenge with the confidence that we will overcome it and grow and evolve from that experience.
We NEVER choose impossible targets for us, just tough ones.
So once in a while, take an overview of your life.
Are you at peace with yourself?
Caring and compassionate without making a song and dance about it?
Time passes.
Both good and bad.
When we learn to mentally step back and watch life's difficulties pass us by, they do not overwhelm us.
It always comes down to being aware.
What we are aware of, we control.
What we are not, controls us.
Awareness of the fact that our difficult times have been chosen by us, removes all the finger-pointing, the helplessness and the impotent anger that comes with it.
Many people when they die, are in a great hurry to come back to earth without the learning that continues after it.
The period of rest, meeting with the guides, the review of the life just finished.
They tend to make the same mistakes again.
Planning, patience and honesty are important both here and in the after-world !
