So how's Life !
Check your breath and you will know !
Faster the breath, more are the chances of your thoughts racing any which way.
Its a great roller - coaster - but tiresome to the mind, and mostly, only adds to the confusion!
All the systems in the body have to work overtime when the rhythm of our Breathing is upset.
There is a school of thought which says we come with a pre - determined number of breaths.
Once that's finished, we move on.
Maybe that was the reason the wise men and sages of yore lived so long !
They practised Yoga, which is maintaining a posture correctly for a long stretch of time so that the particular glands worked perfectly.
(It is said that the spiritual benefits of any Yogic posture will accrue after maintaining it for 8 minutes).
And the sages went to the root cause of what made the mind lose its equilibrium.
It was - and is, the thoughts, which seem to come in from no-where at all, but have the power to upset the fine balance.
They set about controlling the mind's response to thoughts, so that it would not get carried away.
And they called this eminently challenging exercise - Meditation !
Don't wait to learn next year, under a particular master after 6 months, or whatever !
Do not postpone !
Just like you don't postpone your next breath !
Okay !
Lets get to the Exit Points in a bit of detail.
Each one of us , when we chalk out our coming life on Earth, keep these 'Just In Case' kind of situations in the Big Plan when we can choose to die and return to the Spiritual Home.
They are situations when we may finish our tasks sooner than anticipated or the situation is getting to be so hopeless that if we remain, it will only deteriorate.
Let me give you an example of what I think is a perfect case of an Exit.
This is a true story.
There was a young man named Kishore Shantabai Kale who chose to go by his mother's name as his father had not acknowledged him.
He grew up in very difficult and humiliating circumstances but was determined to rise above them.
He was brilliant in studies, worked very hard and became a full-fledged doctor.
He applied for a Govt job and requested to be posted to a rural area where nobody wants to go, anyway.
He was deliberately posted to a hill - station which did not really need his services nor serve his purpose at all.
After 3 years, he asked to got to a village again.
Eventually, he set up a mobile ambulance, wrote an autobiography which is a best-seller and worked as if the demons were chasing him to complete his mission.
Then one day, he died in a senseless car accident.
I don't think he had crossed 35 years of age when he left this world.
I was quite upset to read about his death, at the obits which now seemed to eulogise him.
Then I discovered the existence of Exit Points and realised that he must have chosen to leave, to come back later in different circumstances.
He had created awareness about the exploitation of folk-dancers, the rigid systems, the helplessness and most importantly, that one can still rise above all the cruel blows and find happiness in a larger cause.
One need not necessarily be young or middle - aged, its one's own choice, the decision arrived at after many detailed discussions with our spirit guides.
The way to go could be an illness, an accident or an attack which turned fatal.
Some of these situations in everyone's lives, could very well be the Exit Points we had set up, but at the moment of quitting the body, may decide to hang on and give it another try.
If you do this with determination, you will change your mind-set and go on to complete your self - determined tasks.
If you decide to stay back but with a decided lack of enthusiasm, life will carry on in the same boring lane.
An important thing to remember is, that it is not an escape route out of tight situations !
It is not the same as a suicide.
In a suicide, the mind comes to the decision out of helplessness, anger, hopelessness.
The decision to leave is not going to help the situation, on the contrary, there are more questions, anger and unresolved guilt in the minds of those who are left behind too, which will be an added burden for future lives.
Trust yourself.
Even more when you find yourself boxed in.
Just why is this happening?
What is it in your deepest thoughts that has materialised or manifested in your life?
Sit back, close your eyes, feel your natural breath and let the mind play its initial games.
Once the thoughts stop racing, they will slow down.
The layers will peel off and you will get to the core.
Keep going to the breath when the mind wanders.
Once you establish the root cause, you will be able to find a solution too.
Well !
Did you do your Home Work regarding the Energy Stealers given in the last post?!
It is an interesting exercise and an eye - opener!
A bit of news you can use-

Thanks for elaborating on Exit Points.... Can you give a few examples of how a person can change the present situation after going thru a regression session?
A very nice article.
On the Posture front, today I had an amazing session in my company by Dr Pramod Tripathi. He explained how posture is affected by thoughts and how thoughts and emotions can give you awful diseases of the spine.
