Fear or Curiosity

Hi Folks!

It's been quite some time!

Life has a way of keeping one busy.

Away from all the things we think we 'have to have/do and can't do without' -

and then we discover that we have actually enjoyed the change in pace and scenery.

Today, I have this question for you-

How do you react to what happens to you ?

How do you think of an issue or a challenge?

Is it out of Fear?

Or is it out of Curiosity?

Spend some time over this, you may surprise yourself.

Many of us get into the fast-moving undercurrent of 'I have to do this today'.

Or this has to be done this particular way or that.

If the italics enter your thought system, even if you were looking forward to the task to begin with, along the way, it gets adulterated with stress and tension.

Fear creeps in because a lot of personal issues attach themselves unobtrusively and suddenly become survival issues.

'If I don't do this better than someone else' or 'My standards are anyway very high, so I have to ' kinds of cancers silently strangle any excitement or joy you may have had when you got up in the morning.

Ego, is a stealth bomber.

Each one of has it and we all swear on God and our mother that we do not have an iota of it.

But ego knows it has no substance, so the form becomes progressively more and more dramatic.

The 'energy-stealing' qualities come into play.

Read those Posts again.

The Interrogator, Intimidator, Aloof, Poor-Me as well as the Over-doers and Interrupters.

You can add your own list too.

It's ego in different forms.

Lack of self-confidence and low self-esteem masquerading as toughness and hiding fear.

On the other hand, Curiosity has a neutral - or positive feeling to it.

A kind of 'Let's see'.

Or even better, 'Let's hope so'.

Curiosity lets you meander.

Find new ways.

Laze.

Connect with yourself.

Being curious is being open to new adventures and new viewpoints without being fanatical about one's own.

It may kill a cat or two, but with awareness, we could save ourselves from that bit and enrich our lives.

Choose it over fear.

Check out Life again!

And enjoy!
