Questions on Life's Purpose

 Hi Folks !

How are you doing?

The last post has elicited a lot of interest and there are some nice questions.

It is a bit confusing, isn't it?
We are supposed to sit and chalk out our great plan for the coming life on earth after discussing with
our spiritual guides and all the people who are going to be involved and yet, things seem to go so wrong!

Let's see the questions  -

1] We may have lived for millions of life times.
For our example purpose, let us assume we have lived for 100 life times before.
Out of these, it may be possible we have lived badly for 1 year period.
Not straight, but in summation,a period of 1 year.
Means we have 100 years of bad life in our basket.
We have to erase this karma  to let know our true self.

If we assume our current life time to be 100 years; we have to work day & night to cut this karma.
What is the solution to this?

This sounds very frightening, doesn't it?

And given the fact that we will make mistakes while living this life and working out that past karma too, which would bring us back to more life times, the future seems pretty bleak.
This question is so wonderful, because this is what most of us traditionally believe.

(Me too, once upon a time).
Then I became smart.
I did Vipassana.

Now read and reflect on this -
The first three stages of our human journey are connected with our fears, money and sex
and finally, power, will and emotions.
Please re-read the posts on Souls 7 stages, and all those on the Chakras.
Before taking birth, we decide which of our habit-patterns have become
detrimental to our progress,our evolution.
Is it our anger? Hunger for power? Lethargy? Making use of others? Lust?

We work it out and write our life's story.
The number of bad Karmas is not in hundreds, in fact, can be explained in a word -
Attitude.

Its like going to the super market with a big list - the items will vary from eatables to clothing to
cleaning equipment to electronics and more.

What's common in all of these?
The wanting.

Similarly, in each lifetime, we choose which specific habit-pattern to get rid of and which one to
 strengthen.
Usually, one aids the other.

For eg, if I strive hard to control and eventually get rid of my short temper, at the same time, I have strengthened my patience, my understanding, maybe forgiveness and warmheartedness.

Also, along the way, I have also cleared my karmic debt with one or many.

When we graduate, we have the collective  knowledge from nursery to the college degree, don't we?
This is something like that.

2] In your last post how would that monk and that girl would have behaved so they wouldn’t have
suffered in this birth or we can say that they have not taken this birth to be precise.
I need to know their response in that life not this.

The monk, in that life, if he had really grown spiritually, should have understood the girl's hurt feelings
and apologized for having caused it.

The girl , then, might have forgiven him, considering he had not gone after another girl, had truly gone
to become a Sadhu.
This would have gotten him out of the karmic loop from that life itself.

The girl should have gotten over her pain and anger and paid more attention to the man who loved her and actually married her.
Considering the monk was totally devoted to god right from the beginning, that he had not lied ot cheated her
or used her in any way, she should have not taken his going away as personal rejection.
If she had not allowed her ego to get in the way, this karmic baggage would not have carried on at all, adding new layers in her life and his.

Does this make sense?!

3] Sometimes I feel that I should undergo a session on PLR, but the next moment I refrain thinking that
why shall I unearth something when everything is going alright in my life.

 I have a question here:

Is PLR best suited for someone who is not suffering from problems in his current life?
Will it have any adverse effects on others who are leading a normal life till that point of time?
Have you encountered any cases where people have come to you just out of interest and then
after undergoing a PLR went into depression of some sort?
what is your suggestion to someone like me?

The bestest reason for going into past lives is Curiosity!
That's what I did, and learnt so much about myself!

I list out 15 reasons - health, relationships, fears, phobias, purpose of life and then -
 CURIOSITY, CURIOSITY, CURIOSITY - !!
Many, many people come for a session without any problem at all.
I send them off to 'a happy successful past life of skills ' or ' a random past life which would help
you in some way now.
They hit bull's eye most of the times, and go back all charged and excited.

I have done over a thousand sessions and no one has gone into depression because of PLR.
I swear !

Some closely held beliefs have been shaken, many egos have definitely been battered,
eyes opened to the wonder of living and dying and finding oneself alive and complete -

But depression?

No.

I would suggest you think it over and take a session !

See you sooner, next time.

I am still getting used to the blog's new format, don't like this at all, so excuse the unintended
highlights in the answers and the eaten up words.

Will figure out by next time!

Love you all -

Hi Shubha,
2 months ago, I read Dr. Brian Weiss. Then, I could see clear patterns in my life that necessitated me to dig and find out a PLR therapist in Bangalore. And this I did - I cannot tell you how transformational this therapy has been. And then, I read about you in a book and I was immediately drawn to your blog :)
I do have few questions to ask you. Is there an email id I could post my questions to? Thanks,
Vidya
