How are you doing?
Were you able to catch the Meditation Fest I had mentioned in the last post?
I did the first 2 days, but got 'flu and was down and out for a week, so missed the rest of it.
I notice there is a lot of creative visualization in all such meditations.
And a lot of talking! It is almost non - stop!
The comments they received were profusely thankful for the wonderful methods, which is great! Many people actually practiced meditation for the first time and it is always an exhilarating experience which has the power to keep one buoyed throughout the day, through irritable situations and annoying people and traffic and so on.
I realize I prefer something quieter. Tell me what to do and let me do it quietly.In silence.
I march to a silent drummer. The Buddha respected everybody's intelligence and capacity to elevate oneself. Vipassana works perfectly for me!
Each to his own, just do it!
A long time ago, I came across a question which was asked as an exercise in my son's Institute.
If you are told you have only 6 months to live, what would you do?
It had quite flummoxed me.
Just 6 months?!
Let's do this now, but I am giving you ( and myself ) only 3 months.
We do have a tendency to push the painful / irritable / annoying / whatever stuff to the farthest corner of our mind and then be overwhelmed by anxiety about it.
Let's pull it forward, dust it and start cleaning the warts and wounds.
Do I need to carry this baggage?
Am I really responsible?
What has being a martyr got me?
What am I beneath those masks?
Haven't I indulged myself enough?
Can I let go of my anger? Hurt?
Any such questions you have been avoiding or playing with, without really going for a clear answer.
Now answer them with the urgency of this very limited time available.
Remembering who and what each one of us is, would give one the strength to do this.
So who am I?
I am Creation.
I chose to start this wonderful, tumultuous journey because I wanted to enjoy creation.
Before taking this birth, I sat with a few dear ones and all of us chose to learn together along the way.
I was nasty to them in certain lifetimes, killed and conquered and swindled and humiliated them.
Next, it was my turn to feel how to live through those situations, not add more fuel to fire, to step back.
As we live our lives through, we are not aware that we are merely living out our chosen parts to the best of our ability.
When the game is over, the King and the Queen and the pawns all go in the same box.
If it feels difficult to actually go and say Sorry to someone, whatever the reason, do Ho'oponopono.
Sit down, let your breath become rhythmic, then say these words with all honesty -
I am sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
The first two lines seek forgiveness.
The next ones give gratitude.
Be the Co - Creator you actually are, and not an Energy Stealer.
Start today, it's 25th September.
Do it as regularly and as many times as you wish, but every day for the next three months.
Till the 25th of December.
