Hi Folks!
How are you and how's life?!
It's been busy with me.
After a big event, do you have any idea how much work keeps generating itself endlessly, to be looked into urgently, before life can get back to the original routine?!
I think I am done with the house now, with a huge amount of spring and summer cleaning after the wedding.
The huge trunks are gone and the lofts are empty.
A lot of stuff lovingly collected, used and then stored away carefully, has gone to new owners who are beginning their journey together.
The house was happy with all the loving vibrations of so many who came and pitched in and there was so much sharing of work, chatter, fun and laughter.
It also seems happy now, to get back it's earlier silence, peace and stillness.
Every house is a living personality.
It has feelings and emotions and it reacts or responds to the people who live under its roof.
The constant interaction of the family members, the way it affects those people, affects the house too.
It needs fresh air, sunlight, breeze and likes to be kept clean.
I have Buddhist prayer flags in all the rooms except one (it will get too, next month!).
Have you been to places which follow Buddhist traditions?
I love their concept of tying the prayer flags between trees, on poles and in homes.
They have prayers and blessings printed on them and the belief is that when they flutter in breeze, the vibrations of those blessings fill and spread every where.
What a sublime thought !
I have them since the last 10 to 12 years, or possibly more - and can vouch that my home has definitely benefited from such powerful, positive thoughts !
The house seems to love the colours, what each element stands for, and feels happy and blessed.
Every house is a living, breathing entity with thoughts, feelings and emotions, likes and dislikes.
In a session, a lady mentioned that she could never stay in her house. It just didn't seem to like her ever since she got married and came as a bride.
I requested the house to please tell us why.
Its reply was quite poignant - ' Why do you dislike me? You have issues with your mother - in - law. Instead of standing your ground, you just take flight and justify it by saying I don't like you.'
She was quite taken aback that a house could pinpoint what she had refused to acknowledge even to herself.
She decided to dwell a little more on her core issues and work on them at least a little.
Her oppressive feelings about the house reduced considerably and she stopped blaming it.
Once in a while, when you are sitting quietly, (do! ), chat with it as if it is an old friend.
A wise old soul.
After all, even if the building is new, the ground on which it is standing and the bricks and stones and cement and stuff is old, even ancient, isn't it?!
It protects, takes care, and loves the residents more than they are even aware of its existence as a loving entity.
There could be houses where earlier occupants have left bad vibrations.
Light a lamp in every room one after the other, for a few days.
Somehow, oil lamps work better than electric ones.
Light some camphor and take it to every corner.
The mosquitoes will run away too.
Ensure there are no dark, dingy corners and those deep inside you will also go away.
Meditate and give Metta (Check the post on Metta !) to it.
Say the last two line of H'oponopono to it, every once in a while -
Thank you.
I love you.
When you come back after having been out, maybe the routine office hours or a long journey, as you sink contentedly in your favourite spot, give gratitude for that feeling of ' coming home', which is priceless.
Unburden it by getting rid of all clutter every year.
It helps unclutter your own mind and gives you more strength to let go and begin again.
Take care and love you all -

Thanks Ma'am! That was a wonderful post and I completely opine with you. And it is also true for other things around us like our car, utensils, laptop, electronic goods, musical instruments and the list is endless. We must be grateful to them for being the provider of our needs and that's how they give their best performance and spread their positive vibrations in our lives.
Thanks Ma'am for the wonderful post. I completely opine witrh you. And it is equally true for other objects around us like our car, washing machines, any electronic goods, musical instruments...the list is endless. When we show our gratitude to them for being the provider of our needs, they acknowledge it and spread their hightened positive vibrations all around. They become long lasting and perform better than ever.
