Hi Folks !
How are you and how's life?!
Life throws up interesting challenges at us.
Sometimes we are perplexed, at other times, annoyed.
There seems to be a propensity in us to do what we want without thinking out the consequences for other people.
Let me give you some examples -
A young man wanted to know what would be the fate of his love life - he loved a girl from another religion and both sets of parents were against it.
They were from different cities who had met in a third city where they were currently working.
He went to a past life when something similar had happened because of different castes.
Then another when the rich - poor divide was pretty vast.
Why was this pattern being repeated?
In none of the previous lifetimes had they acknowledged the intensity of their love for each other.
She failed to communicate clearly to him, how much she loved him.
And he failed to show the necessary courage in front of his rigid parents.
These were lifetimes in Europe and India and - isn't it amazing?
Certain things seem universal !
He acknowledged that in this life time, he needed to take a stand and stand by his love.
She needed to do the same, not depend on him to fight battles on her behalf too.
The young man accepted that he had simply expected things to some how fall in place, and when they hadn't, had withdrawn himself.
He had not married anyone else and had died before his parents who were now extremely sad about their earlier rigidity.
After his death, he regretted wasting it.
Similarly, a young lady saw herself and her friend together in more than one past lives where they went behind everyone's backs and enjoyed their times together.
They were young teenagers, and the parents did not approve of this behaviour when there was work to be done and land to be tilled, basically growing up to be done.
That thrill of being together had cost them their lives, but there was no lesson learnt after leaving the body and taking stock.
They were repeating the pattern in this life too and she intensely disliked her parents for being strict with her.
She was justifying her behaviour though both were still years and years away from financial independence.
I have noticed something in many sessions.
Death and coming into one's complete consciousness after leaving the limiting physical body and viewpoint does not automatically give everyone wisdom.
The consciousness is still carrying the previous life's anger or hatred or lust or enmity or whatever.
Some people have meditated for a while or spent time in religious institutes or monasteries.
In those lives as in this, they tend to call themselves spiritual and expect to make spectacular progress in material life as well in their quest to seek god.
It does not happen that easily.
The path is long and meandering and beautiful.
What is the hurry, anyway?
Meditate, listen to yourself, which you can when you quieten your constantly chattering mind and allow other perspectives to add shades and richness to yours.
Enjoy !
