The Crown Chakra

Hi Folks !

We are one whole year old!

The blog started on the 7th of June 2008.

On the 7th of June 2009 we completed a year.

On the 8th of June 2009 we crossed 5000 hits!

We also got written about in a monthly magazine !

I thank all of you for your interest and enthusiasm!

Questions and comments make it more interesting, so do keep sending them.

Talking of queries, where is Mandar?! Been missing for a while !

And Random Thoughts?! (could not open bolbachchan. com -don't know why)?

Its been a great year and let's flow on !

Life is beautiful, even with conditions applied!

Now lets learn about the final of the 3 Spiritual Chakras, THE CROWN CHAKRA-

It is located at the top of the head, the place which is soft in a new-born.

The energy of THE CROWN CHAKRA is about our connection to an all-embracing wisdom, to pure consciousness, to the Divinity.

When this is open, one sees and remains aware of the bigger picture and all the walls are gone -of thoughts, religion, caste, colour, gender and so on. One experiences - not just intellectualises, but feels the unity in the universe, the countless dimensions of life.

It is from the vortex of THE CROWN CHAKRA that we take in Energy from the endless universal source, which then moves to the lower 6 Chakras. This process is continuous, and the more open our Chakras are, the better our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health.

When The CROWN CHAKRA is blocked, there is unwillingness to learn, rigidity, a sense of isolation and an unawareness of ones own spirituality. The views are narrow and petty and there is a sense of being alone.

On the other hand, if this Chakra is over-active, one ends up quite addicted to one's convenient brand of spirituality and intellectualises about it endlessly. All the inconvenient truths are hidden and there is a growing sense of justifying this rigidity and sense of superiority/seperateness from others.

Remember the Aloof Energy Stealer?!

So lets all be wise and aware and healthy and happy!

There are some nice Chakra Tests on the net. They take hardly a few minutes to complete and give you a great insight into your own self.

There are Chakra-balancing meditations too, some on youtube.

Take these tests periodically and check with your old results. Remain aware of where the block is. It will be difficult to change one's thoughts and beliefs immediately, so think things over honestly and don't let ego stand in the way of your own happiness and peace of mind.

Lets do a quick recap of all the 7 Chakras -

1. ROOT- Safety, Security, Grounding in the Physical World.

2. SACRAL- Sexuality, Feelings, Money too.

3. SOLAR PLEXUS - Emotions, Personal Power.

4. HEART - Affection, Love.

5. THROAT -Self- Esteem, Communication.

6. -THIRD EYE -Insight, Psychic Abilities.

7. CROWN - Oneness with Divinity.

To think that all of them - AND the 21 Minor Chakras have been doing their job quietly and tirelessly, ever since we took our first breath, without a moment's rest, without being acknowledged or thanked or apreciated or even believed in!

WOW!

Lets thank our wonderful body and take a quiet vow to take care of it.

By exercising regularly, eating balanced food and above all, BY BEING HAPPY !

We do have much to be grateful for, and let us pay our respects and work towards removing the blocks so that all the systems can work happily and peacefully.

In the next post, I shall give you some Affirmations.

There are hundreds, for everything, and we will see how they work!

In the meantime, have a great time!

Love you -

Hello Shubhaji,

how are you?

congratulations, on completing the one year of the blog,

i read somewhere that we should get rid ourselves of desires?

how can i get myself rid of desires?

ain't it a desire too? to be spritually progressive a desire too?

or it is just related to all the material desires?

Dear Shubhaji,

First let me congratulate you for the successful completion of one year of the blog.
What most appealed to me is the consistency of your writing. This consistency is the thing
which is most difficult for me and I am trying hard to get it in my life.

The workload in office was not allowing me to write anything, though I always visited your blog and
read all the articles. And so, I do have a lot of queries piled up.

And this time I don't just have queries, but a few postive actions to tell , which I have already started taking, for which as you know, I was struggling for a long time.

First and the most important thing is I have started exercising regulary. For whole month of May I just tried to rise early in the morning, and going for a brisk walk.
Then suddenly, just as I wished, a new gym started near my house from 1st June and I joined it.
(So I think that it were the positive thoughts in my mind which got heard, and the gym just
started for me...... :-) )
(You had also discussed this in your posts)

Secondly, I have started learning classical music on harmonium. It was my long felt wish to learn
classical music and this time too, I think it was my strong wish which cleared many obstacles and I
really started learning it.

Now I think that in about a month or so , I would start doing meditation, as that is the only one
thing which I need to bring in my time table. I am confident that as I was able to overcome obstacles
in starting regular exercise and learning music, I will overcome the obstacles in starting meditation regularly.

Lastly, let me end this with a query.
In your post titled "Gratitude", you discussed in detail about the effect of Praying for someone.
I would like to ask that suppose you dont know any person, but he could be your distant relative,
and when you hear news of his death, and like to pray for him, would it still have the same effect?
ie even if you havent met that person before, what may be the reason that I feel to pray for him ?
In this case, I heard the news of death of our very very distant relative. He was very young, just around 28. He has very young wife and a daughter of 3 years. I felt very sad hearing this, and prayed for him for a few minutes. Even though I am not in a position to help him or his family, I still feel to pray for him. In the same way, whenever I see some poor person, sometimes tears come to my eyes. I dont know the reason for this, but this happens to me many times. Could you please explain about this ?

Sorry for writing such a long response, but there was an internal urge to write all this which I couldnt control.

Best Regards
Mandar
