How's Life?!
The weather usually affects our moods, and it's a bit sunny, a bit rainy, warm in the days and cool at nights right now.
So one has to make sure that the moods do not swing along with it.
So one has to make sure that the moods do not swing along with it.
That's life, so awareness, a smile and a song always adds to the flow.
Let's come to today's topic.
It's been on my mind for some time now.
There seems to be dissatisfaction and unhappiness in abundance.
Some personal relationships are not working out.
Professional progress seems to come up against all kinds of blocks.
And things seem to repeat themselves all the time.
Usually, notice is taken when a health problem crops up.
Then panic sets in.
Self - pity and depression are not far away.
Well!
Why are so many of us doing it to ourselves?
When you patiently start - and keep peeling the layers off your problems, many times, you discover that you are going at a tangent.
That the health problem is not due to a bug you caught.
Analyse your emotions and you will come up with anger or hopelessness or tiredness at how life is treating you.
And when you come to the core, you realize that you were expecting it all along.
That you 'always knew it'.
This is our safety mechanism to protect ourselves from getting hurt, but it actually ends up as a powerful means to mess things up because we 'expected it anyway'.
Many of us, just below the surface, are the 'poor-me's.
Going for clearly unattainable targets whether in relationships or finances or the workplace.
There will be a short period of intense activity and then the down-slide begins.
And because this is an established routine, the journey into self-pity and depression is faster.
Each time, it is more and more difficult to pull oneself up.
There are others who hide behind an 'all is well' cloak when things are clearly not.
The ego comes into play because the carefully cultivated public image does not allow for any cracks or tears.
When the mind insists on covering up, the body suffers.
All physical ailments begin in the mind.
If the tiny, single thorn is not removed immediately and painstakingly, it causes a lot of puss which hides the original culprit, the thorn.
The wound will grow bigger by the day and no anti-biotic will heal it.
Discussions, arguments and attitude will not help.
And amputation will leave the thorn in tact and even more strong in it's original place - the mind.
It is the thorn which has to be removed.
Many times, or to be truthful, most of the times, our low self-esteem creates these vortexes for us, working constantly, insidiously in our mind.
There is really no need for any of us to harbour the slightest feeling of a low self-image.
Each one of us is unique with unique challenges chosen by us when we were 100% sane and in a state of complete consciousness.
If you are repeatedly choosing wrong friends or relationships or jobs, that is the temptation you have to get over.
It is the many so called 'short-terms' put together which make a long term, so always think of your life as a wholesome whole because each and every emotion you sow today will be in full bloom sooner than you think.
Respect yourself. Love yourself. And trust yourself.
Deep down, you are wiser than you show.
And wiser than you know...

HI
I AGREE WITH YOUR ASSESSMENT COMPLETELY. ALTHOUGH I ACCEPTED MY LOSS ON THE FACE OF IT....THE UNEXPECTEDNESS OR THE SUDDENNESS WAS TRAUMATIC...WHICH DID AFFECT MY HEALTH. I THINK I AM FINDING MY FEET....AS THERE IS DEFINITE IMPROVEMENT IN MY HEALTH, IT IS GRADUAL...BUT DEFINITELY THERE...
Hi
Moods certainly get affected by weather change. But as you correctly said it should not affect your heath and moods.
I don't like cloudy environment, but during these rainy days most of the times we have such type of weather.
We have to go with the surroundings without affecting our inner world. This is most important and most difficult too.
Thanks for giving a different viewpoint to look at such situations
